Organizational Development and Learning

Be a changemaker, in your business, your community, or your school. Carroll University's Master of Organizational Development and Learning will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be responsive to and create positive change within organizations. As a graduate of this program, you'll be equipped to lead and manage organizational change, foster a culture of continuous and lifelong development and learning and facilitate collaboration within diverse organizational contexts.

Learning Model

Interdisciplinary courses from The School of Education and Human Services and the School of Business are delivered in a hybrid, in-person and online format through an 8-week delivery model. Content subjects include leadership, marketing, program design, and administration to name a few, along with an applied research project.

Through real-world practical experiences, you’ll learn how to design, implement and evaluate projects and activities that facilitate adult learning, collaboration and leadership. As a capstone project, you’ll research and propose a solution to a real-world issue in your own field.

  • Design, implement, and facilitate various types of learning opportunities to optimize employee professional practice within the context of learning organizations.
  • Identify methods for leveraging the strengths of diverse teams and promote a culture of continuous development and growth 
  • Demonstrate collaborative problem-solving and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage change initiatives and apply leadership theory and practice to effectively navigate complex organizational challenges. 
  • Exhibit ethical leadership and social responsibility through leadership roles.
